2nd battery or a HO alternator?

So I did the big 3 this morning and put in my new ph4000 amp this morning. Was cruising to a empty parking lot to set my gains and my car had a hissy fit and through some battery protection code. Needless to say I thought I cook my alternator and I drove back home and never set my gains properly. I have a pretty good battery up front that's only like 3 months old and my alternator is 140 amps I believe. So my question is should I get a HO alt or a second battery?

You need more than that battery and a stock alt bud I'd run a 320 + a 2nd battery or your going to **** all your ****. You're probably good for around 1100 rms and you're running close to 4k.
