2nd Battery Ground ?

the reason for grounding is to complete the circuit. The current from your amp gets back to the battery through the chassis, thats why you ground your amps to the chassis. Your chassis is like a gigantic wire connecter, where your amps are connected in one end and your battery (-) is connected to the other. Therefore if you are grounding back to your battery's (-) terminal you are just bypassing the whole chassis idea. Ive read it can end up causing dB gain, but I've read some that say no. Go for it.
