250AMP fuse!!!!

I just bought a Power 1000 "25 to Life" amp cause I'm lazy and don't need a ton of sound. I haven't recieved it yet, but someone said a 250amp fuse for 800Watts at 4 ohms/ RMS what am I missing. This will be run off a 90amp alternator any input would be great. I was thinking 100 amp fuse max.

This will be pushing:

Boston Pro60's in the front

CDT 6.5's in the back

1 12 D6 in a sealed enclosure

You are normally fusing to protect the wire not the amp since it has it's own fuses.
