'21 Canyon firewall through access.

Hello, has anyone figured out an easy access through the firewall of a '21 era Canyon/Colorado for passing an 8-gauge wire for amp power? All that I've seen is very difficult to work with. Any ideas?

I haven't done one, but by looking at a picture of the engine compartment, I cannot be 100% sure. Is there a spot between the e-brake and the foot brake?

How thick is the firewall? 1/4 or 1/2 inch. There is all the other items in the way. It seems to me you will have to take out the other things there. Take out a few valves off the engine block. From the block outward, the alternator, several hoses leading to the radiator. Windshield wiper motor. Solenoid. Battery tray compartment. Cables for the battery from the battery to the engine block. And anything else in the way, then start from there. But if it’s all greasy, clean it up first then drill the hole near where the amplifier will rest. No more than 6 inches away from the wall. GMC is great looking trucks. Bose system speakers.​

Don't take Mitchell's advice very seriously. Fire walls are not thicker than 1/16th of an inch. there is also no need to take apart anything on an engine. You might have to remove the battery, but that's it.

What are you talking about? If you don't know, don't post. Your advice sound rediculouse. Why would you ever have to remove valves from and engine block to run a power wire through the fire wall?
