2014 Ford Focus sound system questions

I recently bought a 2014 Ford Focus Titanium with the Sony sound system and I was wondering what options there were for sound systems around the $600-$1000 price range. I am new to sound systems but I was thinking about getting an entire new sound system while trying to keep the stock touchscreen din. I would like to still be able to hear all of the lies miss and highs while still having good bass. I was recommended kicker and pioneer but I am still open to options

Well having the Sony system is going to up your cost with going aftermarket. You will need either a DSR1 dsp or AmpPRO to get rid of all the factory settings. I went DSR1 myself. Do you want a sound quality setup or a loud SPL setup?

Yes. That's what I did in my 2016.

because you have a premium factory system and want to keep the factory head unit, that just complicates matters 100x for any actual results.
