Hi everybody I have a new 2014 crew cab silverado with a factory system. My other truck had a good system but went with the trade in. I have roughly 1500-2200 to budget for a complete system overall, this does not include install costs, that is separate. Here is a few stipulations though the subs have to be shallow mount because I still want to use the under seat for storage for when I hunt or camp. I lost the under seat storage on my last truck and missed it and won't do that again. And wouldn't mind touch screen unit but I don't need navigation or any of that fancy stuff but touch screen and a cable for my ipod(have an older one) would be awesome. Otherwise I want a system where it sounds like the artist is next to you playing. Good and loud, that has a good thump to it. Mostly listen to rock, country, and some rap. Any suggestions for a complete system from unit, components, subs, amp or amps, etc? I have finally found a good installer that won't screw me hard. Chatted with two that wanted over 1100 for install. Nope, found another for a lot less that does better work. Thank you everybody and go wild on brands and types.
