2009 CTS bluetooth issue

Why can’t I get my 2009 CTS to pick up my phones Bluetooth signal for my Pandora tunes channel. When I use one of those things theu my lighter, it works I guess but with a greatly reduced volume output. Any suggestions for this dumb issue?

A problem may be caused by your phone's or vehicle infotainment systems' software. Be sure you have the latest software version for your phone and the car if that is an option. Check all the infotainment settings for your car, make sure that it is compatible with the android device you're working with. My brother has the 2008 and trying to upgrade that to an aftermarket amp and speakers was a nightmare! 16 year old interface, my just have BT version compatibility issues.

The 2008-2012 (?) head units were real PITA.
