Howdy all:
I am about to purchase a sweet 6/6 08' accord and want to get a whole new setup as far as audio.
I am thinking the following:
AMP: Sony 6 channel Bluetooth amp https://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GS6DSP/Sony-XM-GS6DSP.html?tp=115
Components for in door woofers and tweeters: JL-C1 series https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13699043/JL-Audio-C1-650.html?tp=64031
Full Range for rear deck: JL-C1 series https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13699042/JL-Audio-C1-650x.html?l=E

My 3 questions are as follows:
1) Is this going to be the most balanced /ideal setup with woofers in door full range in back and tweeters up front? Or would it be better with all full ranger or woofers in back etc..

2) Since this amp is only 6 channels, would I be able to add a sub potentially down the line by wiring both woofers to one channel or something like that?

3) Will I even need a sub or will these upgraded woofers be enough to satisfy that primal urge to be "bumpin"

Thanks

I am a new member (first post), but I recently installed 4 of the Jl c1 components tied to a Rockford Fosgate 400/4 amp along with a Jl 12” base edge sub tied to a Jl 250 w monoblock amp and am very happy with this setup in a ford escape

That car has quite a bit of road noise. be best to do some door deadner to get those 50 rms speakers to serve any justice up front on 45 rms. Id look at Polk MM series and a 100-150x4 for up front and approx 600-1k for substage to be in all honesty. This would be an ideal amp for power imo. May have to call and see if they are in stock or not?

id get a good set of comps up front, sub in the trunk and 1 or 2 amps
I'd do this as well.

I'd spend more money on a big 2 channel and have really nice and powerful components up front, then have a dedicated sub amp. Idk if you're running a radio or what exactly for source, but if you had radio powered rear speakers as fill, that would work, or do some heavier midbass woofers in the rear doors or deck, and try to keep it like a concert in front of you with bass from the back. Not sure if that phrasing is the best.

I would at least do 500-1000w if you want to be bumping like decently well for beginning. Too low of sub power and the subs just overall aren't as capable with things like low end response, but it depends, just one of those things you'll have to figure out over time, what you prefer. Like you get 150w components on those front doors and like a 12" on 1000w or something, that'll be a great start. Just figure out how much of your trunk you're willing to sacrifice for a box and work within that. Make sure you get a good box and box design to match your car and woofer and listening preferences. Box design and type makes a MASSIVE difference in bass.

My BNIB SFB1000.4D at $375, shopped would be perfect!

  • Number Of Channels: 4
  • 350 watts x 4 @ 4 ohm, 14.4v
  • 590 watts x 4 @ 2 ohm, 14.4v
  • 1050 watts x 4 @ 1 ohm, 14.4v
2x350 @4ohms, 1 x 1200 at 4 ohms bridged.
