How are the batts secured I didn't thing the factory hold down would work with no lip on the bottom of the batt

The factory bracing that goes over the batteries will not let them go anywhere. Would take a heck of a wreck to make them move as they are pretty wedged in the trays.

how do you get to the iPad home button?

You don't it stays on while I am in the vehicle and gets pulled out when I get out. If I feel I ever need a button I can add a push button on a spring pretty easy. The top of the trim panel is held on my neo magnets and the bottom retained the factory clips so It is very easy to take it in and out. Also the Ipad uses this for charging and connection to the 80PRS. Composite A/V Cables for Mobile Video Systems

If you want access to it, you can go to settings, disability and turn on "Assistive touch" will give you a little move-able "button" (for lack of a better term" on the screen, you can place it where ever you want. when you click it. you have the option to go to the home screen if you want.. i use it now and iwll be using it when i build my dash and so that i dont have to make a notch for the home button..

So you can make the screen turn off by a touch button and turn it back on by touching the screen? I do have the Ipad Jailbroken with the nosplash screen from cydia.

btw, you can also do the 5 finger swipe to get to the home screen and get out of applications.. Build looks great! I wonder how the front stage sounds

Yea I knew about the 5 finger swipe which works well. As for the sound of the front stage I have no clue yet, will not hook anything up until the Arc PS8 gets in and that should be any day now.
