you do know that if you use regular octane over long periods of time you will fuck up a car that calls for preimum. so it does not matter where it comes from, the gas is not the same.

to be honest, i am not an engine guy, and i just got my car and i used regular gas for a tank, when i got it it was full - drove like a champ, filled it once and the performance went down the toilet. didnt know why until i saw on my gas cap that it said "preimium gas only"

i dont know much about engines and what not, i learned a valulable lesson that week.

I like civics execpt for that weird stubby front. Something about it annoys the piss out of me. My buddy has one of these though, it's nice, and it's fairly quick for the price. Nice cars.

Awesome car dude! And whoever think's its a fart can, think again. The ricer age is slowly fading away. Honestly, if the people driving next to the guy with the fart can are annoyed, do you honestly think the owner of the fart can actually enjoys the sound? There's a difference between the N1 canisters that sound like a choking smoker with lung cancer and the N1 canisters that produce low rumbles. Ever hear WRX's or Evo's? Any good SUS or Titanium exhaust can make even something like a civic sound good. A deep, low rumble is made, not a crappy fart repetition.

Dude, you've gotta add some JDM flavor to that SI! Something along the lines of Work wheels, some Mugen aero parts(though the stock aero already has it's roots through Mugen design), some tint, JDM retrofits. God, even though than engine bay is tight, you can do wonders with that K20 under there.

The exhaust is actually very quiet dispite the looks of the thing. It doesn't drone on the freeway, and I'm not a dick about having an exhaust (i.e. revving around at 4am in the morning).

In terms of the premium vs regular, the octane count is different meaning they have different heats of ignition. If you use low octane fuel in a high compression engine, you're going to get some knocking (premature combustion).

The component installation went fairly smooth, I'm breaking the installation into pieces. I've installed the crossovers and amp. I'll finish the MDF rings, deadening, and clay after I get finals over with. I'll post pictures in the general forum so keep a look out.

Can't really afford any JDM bling at the moment being a college student. I COULD afford it, but it would be a poor decision to do so.

There are a few girls who have FG2s. FG1s, that's a different story.

So what if girls drive an Si once in awhile?

So we aren't men? The whole like 30,000+ Si owners? (yes there are ALOT of us..which is gay..but still)

I know a ton of girls who drive Silverado's so you're in the same boat. We just get 30mpg and you get like -45mpg. So go ahead, flame away, we're still better off than you will ever be.
