This is regarding the following company:

I Purchased a 5000K HID headlight kit from them a few months ago. I was so pleased with the quality product and fast shipping, I ordered a second set for my fog lights.

A couple of weeks ago one of my fog lights went out. After some in garage troubleshooting I determined it was the ballast. I emailed the company and within hours I had a return# for a warranty I didn't know came with the kit. The Repaired ballast arrived today and it now works like a charm.

 for a company that stands behind their product.

I would recommend this company to anyone considering an ebay HID kit. Many HID kits are shipped from foreign countries making returns not only pricey but in some cases a total pain.... if you can return them at all.

I purchased the traditional-size ballast kits

What is that a vette?

Get some shots against a garage or wall...but i can already see the horrendous glare

If your going just for looks id guess these kits are fine but they put out less usable light than factory....true story

Yes it's a vette

The glare will happen with kits rated at 6000K and higher and with any non-projector housing. Mine are 5000K and the light output is significantly more than stock and noticably more than aftermarkets like silverstars. I'm looking at getting projector style headlight housings but thaey're rather expensive for my car ($800-1200)

The Foglights however are excellent. The foglights themselves are Hella Micro DE lights with an HID bulb swap. They have a sharp vertical cutoff typical of Lexus and BMW. They put out enough light for me to often drive on fog lights alone without headlights when not on a highway or large road.

the glare is NOT dependant on k rating. it is because your housings are made for a halogen bulb.
Housings are the key cause, but the amount of glare is affected by the light color. For instance, 3000k bulbs do not produce nearly as much glare as 6000K bulbs simply because the yellow light they emit isn't reflected back as much as whiter light.

I think 4300K is daylight color which is the whitest you can get with out much glare ??? IDK most likely iam wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I prefer the white light over the hyper white and blueish looking lights. Can't say much tho I had some luminics a few years ago that were like 8000K :S

I changed my M1009 over to hids a while back, I went with 3k (or was it 3500), anyway I got the bi-xenon (so I have highs and lows) I got the single element unit, where it just tilts the bulb up in the special shield (smiliar to the older mercedes m class OEM units), the headlight housings I used are IPF units which are built with the euro standards (so they have a sharper cutoff line and just a better output), Compared to the neighbors new range rover the diffrence was minimal, a little more bleed on the edges of mine however noting thing anyone would notice.

I cant remember the supplier I used for the hids, but this is the housing I used and would highly recommend.
