2007 Chevy Silverado EXT CAB. HELP

I just got a 2007 chevy ext cab z71 ltz. I would like to put a system in. The problem is there is almost no room. I have the factory six disc changer w/ XM radio. Also the factory bose system. It does not sound that bad now, but I would like to add some bass. I am having a 10'' box built but they are trying to get me to buy some off brand subs. They are pushing kole audio. I did a little research and have heard nothing good about there products. The sub in question is this one.

They had one in their shop and it felt solid. I know I shouldnt go by the way something feels, but the build quality felt okay. I Was thinking about the shallow mount type S or Kicker CVT. Any ideas?

Basically around 300rms for the amp if you have any suggestion on that too.

I am not on a real tight budget, but with the limited amount of room I dont think I will need to spend a whole lot.

For bass on a budget you cant go wrong with kicker. They make subs to fit almost any ones budget and space requirements. Have you looked into Q form enclosures or the MTX thunder forms?

It is Kole audio.

I really didnt want to spend three hundred on the enclosure. I was really looking to just get one ten or twelve. I guess if the enclosure they build doesnt live up to my expecations, there are a couple other sources for enclosures.

Any other ideas for subs and amp. 1=10'' quality sub. 1- 300watt rms amp.

Also does anyone know if there are Preouts on my factory head unit. I have the six disc xm factory deck.

Ditch the factory deck.. If you are content on keeping it, then get a jl clean sweep, or a decent line out converter. The cvt should do nicely behind the seat.
