The Vehicle: 2005 f150 4.6 v8 stx 4x2

Our alternator somehow failed and we need to get a replacement. Anyone have one, or know where I could find one for cheaper than 199.99? I just tried mechman as thats where I ordered my last one and his lowest is 299.99 and that was the 200 amp.

Doesnt look like that can work out anyone else got anything or know of a place where i can get one for cheap!

What year did he have? Do you happen to you know if your alt is controlled by the pcm? I have an old 4.6 motor, and the alternator looks the same, but some fords after 2002 have the alternator voltage controlled by the pcm.

Mine was off an 2004 4.6, same body style truck
