I have a Silverado and I'm trying to find the best box to build. I want them to go under my back seat. I've seen some with the subs firing down. I've seen some with them firing up. I don't want them facing out though. I want to port them. I just want your guys opinion on what would be the best box. I'm putting in 2 12's.

2 or 4 sundown E 8s or SA 8s is what I'd do but u don't was forward facing.

But since u want down firing prly 2 8s

get rid of the backseat if you want 2 12s, besides shallow subwoofers it wont work. 2 8s ported is literally the best thing you can do while being under the seat... assuming ext or 4 dr

You're rather limited with downfire 8s with the height limit. If you want them down, consider a 2" bench lift it will also yield more net airspace. 2 ported with driver side firing port to load off side wall.

Will the 2 8's have around the same bass that my 12's do? My setup right now is a Kenwood KDC-HD455U head unit with 2-12in blue flame Plyes 1200W, 2 Kicker 40CS5 door speakers. Soundstream picasso 700W amp. The box for the subs is 39in Long, 17in Wide and 19in Deep. I know its not the best setup lol but it was was all free, except the kickers.

itll be more bass, go to a car audio show and see what is out there compared to what you may think is loud right now
