Hello Room,
The days of owning mega car stereos are behind me, but I'm dissatisfied with the sound of my stock system in my new (used) 2004 Accord LX.
I spoke with a local audio shop and they said I can just upgrade the amp & speakers and leave the stock player in the dash. I like the fact that the system will still look stock to a potential theif and I can keep expenses lower. But I'm worried that the tinny & metalic sound I hear from this stock CD player will just sound MORE tinny & metalic if I just change the amp & speakers.
Has anyone done what I'm suggesting and if so are you pleased with the results?
FYI. I'm not going with a sub, just potentially replacing the speakers in the door kickpanels and the speakers in the rear window deck.
Thanks for your input!
Greg
