2003 sierra dimming prob.

It sounds like your batteries aren't connected together right? Have you load tested them seperately while there is nothing hooked to them? What batteries are they? Also, you have two wires coming off the alt...1 to your second batt and the stock to your original batt?

um i fixed the radio problem.... the starting battery went dead today and is shot..... so i replaced it with a Newer one and all the headunit problems and the highs not working are gone WOOHOO.... butt the subs cutting out is the final issue i have to solve......

it takes about 15-20 minutes of continuious running for the subs/amp to quit.. then it comes back on for about 10-15 seconds and goes off. repeatedly....and the amp gets really hot

ON TO ANSWERS...

i have 2 wires coming off the alternator

amp batt. Everstart maxx

starting batt. powervolt

Try running a wire from your neg post on both batteries to connect their grounds. They will still power things seperately, but will share their ground. Make it whatever gauge your power wire is.

You may be getting ground loops since you are running two "seperate" batteries. It may not solve it, and like mentioned above, Are you running at proper ohm load?

I doubt a sony xplod 1500w amp can power 2 rockford p3's adequately. Though with xplod amps it will probably die soon anyways, from what I've seen, they don't last long.

RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 200 watts x 2 chan.

4 ohm: 500 watts x 1 chan.

Max power output: 1200 watts x 1 chan.

MOSFET power supply

Tuned Bass EQ (0-10 dB)

Tri-way capable (Tri-Way crossover required)

2/1 channel operation

Speaker-level inputs with signal sensing for automatic turn-on)

Preamp RCA outputs

Heavy duty aluminum alloy heatsink

RCA level inputs

screw terminals

Variable low-pass filter (50-300 Hz, 12 dB/octave)

CEA-2006 compliant amplifier

Frequency response: 20-20,000 Hz

running a 4 ohm load... but it is double bridged

also the highs going off and staying off.. problem is still here, it did it again this morning

also what is a really good amp for these subwoofers

I don't know if this is what youre saying, but it should look like this:

Since both of your amps are turning off, it is some sort of electrical issue.

the subs are wired exactly like that. except where they connect to the amp, i twisted the 2 pos. and the 2 neg togeather and they are bridged.

I only have ONE amp......lol

and the highs are still off and click randomly

ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!
