hey everybody, im gettin a 2002 4 runner pretty soon and will have to switch my system over from my 92 silverado.

i know how to hook the subs up and put the boxes in, but i have no idea how to hook up the amp, how easy would it be to hook it up myself? what would i need to do so? and where would be a good place to put it other than on the back of the seat because i would still like to take the seats down if i needed to.

yall sound like yall know how to do all of this stuff so any help you could give me would be much appreciated

the amp is a autotek 800xi street machine

by yourself it takes some time, mainly running your wires cleanly is time consuming. u just need to know which wires go where, not too hard (just dont switch the power and ground, that would be horrid). mount the amp on the back/top of your sub box if the box is big enough.

what all do i need to buy to hook it up, i didnt install it into my truck so i dont know what i need to hook it up in my 4 runner

also is there a website that would show me instuctions on how to hook it up to the battery, the radio and the ground

you have the amp, sub in its box and just need wiring help.

since its a large truck:

-20 feet of power wire (preferably 4 gauge?)

-3-5 feet of ground wire (should be same size as power wire gauge)

-remote wire (should be a very small size, 18 gauge?)

-fuse holder AND fuse on the power wire that should close-by your battery (the fuse amps should match up with the fuse on the amp(s) and the wire size chosen)

-2 terminals. 1 for ground, and other for power wire that will be attaching to the battery positive post

-speaker wire of course

-coil wrap for clean and flush install

if i miss anything, someone correct me.

for starters, you can purchase an 4 guage amp kit.

Looks good, but you fuse for the wire, not the amp. The amp is already fused. 125 amp fuse is suggested for 4 guage wire.
