2000 watts. 6cuft. What 1 sub

I've got a DP 21 that would work great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

a 15 in 6 cubes is too big

Fi Btl ftw. With a little bigger box and little under power you should be just right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What sizes are we talking? I don't have the room to put a 18 in unless its firing up and even then I'd only have 17in before I hit the lid. My trunk is wide but not that tall. Like I said I'd love a HDC3 18 but I don't think I have the height to pull it off. A 21? That would never fit in the right enclosure.

I've got about 2000watts @2ohms and 6cuft to work with in my trunk, what single sub setup would you guys say would get me the loudest? I was thinking maybe a HDC318 or 15, but I'm open for suggestions.
same thing i was thinking, you can have the 18 facing up instead of back

Would the 18 facing up port back or forward be as loud and deep as a 15 facing back port back? How much clearance from the trunk lid would be optimum?

What kind of car is this going into?

Have you considering sealing the trunk and doing port and sub forward?

I cant load the AQ site right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif not a 100% on the mounting depth the 18"aq needs.

If you make the box too high and you shoot the port back you might be sealing off the ports too much...

& thats 6 cubes before displacment corret.

I had 5.6-5.8 cubes to work with and my box went to 3.5 cubes net might be too small for a 18 anyways...

I can do about 5.5 with port tuned to 33-35hz or I can try aeros and go up to 7cuft or so. Its a 85 Cadillac Fleetwood square body. Has the same trunk as a box chevy. The hump right behind my seat stops me from sealing anything off, and I'd only go about 12-13" high so I wouldn't block off my ports and my width isn't edge to edge. I tried to take a lot of that into account as to not do exactky what you said.
