I grinded all the plastic down so that when I build my supports they will rest flush on the door panel.

Here I am about to trace out the opning I cut into my doors so I can get the sape of it and make a baffle to mount the speaker baffle to as well as help give support to the door panel.

Got the shap all traced out on 1/4" foam core.

After it is cut out

Test fitting it into the door panel.

Now that I have the sape of the opening in the door panel I want to create that exact shap but with a 1/2" over lay on each edge of the pattern so that I can adhear it to my door panels. I fist traced out the pattern onto 3/4" MDF.

Now using my jigg saw with a fine cut wood bit and cut out the patern.

Got the pattern cut out and now doing a test fit in the door panel.

Since I am using this cut ot as a jigg to make my 1/2" over lay I had to fist sand down all the edges and any imperfectins that the roughter might pick up so that my tracer bit would slide over the jigg with each.

Now it is time to make my template for my 1/2" over lay. I will be using 1/2" MDF for the baffles.

DSC00358.jpg

Placed the jigg ontop of the 1/2" MDF and brad nailed it down so it would not mover while I was using my tracer bit on it.

I used a 1/2" tracer bit to go over the pattern to make my template for the door baffles.

After I roughted out the template I traced the shape onto 1/2" MDF and cut the cut using the jigg saw.

DSC00362.jpg

As you can see it is the ame shape as the poening but a 1/2" wider on each side so that I can adhear it to the door panels.

DSC00363.jpg

This will giver me a better mount to the door and give the door panel more strength.

DSC00365.jpg

Put the door panels back on to see if everyhting fits right.

DSC00367.jpg

Now testing the spaeker baffle on the door to see that everything will look like.

DSC00368.jpg

I had to adjust the baffle a little in order for my glove box to stay functional.

DSC00369.jpg

DSC00370.jpg

Now repating everthing on the driver side door.

I love it but I wish I would have spent the money to get the Dewalt one that has a 53" fense on it.
The fence still goes out like 32-36" doesn't it? Otherwise I have my eye on the delta with a 48" fence for $100 more

But I can get the rigid at HD ofr like 450 reconditioned
