2 wires or 1?

Knukon is good. They just don't have the massive corporate marketing budget like Stinger etc.

For high current installs the general opinion is to get OFC but I don't have any problem with CCA personally.

I just use locking pliers (vise-grips) for large gauge wire terminals.

Yes you can ground through a d-block -- that one doesn't need fuses.
