Which setup will be best depends on your goals. The type x will be better for sound quality and the type r's will be better for spl.

not really. the only time my amps will be putting out power is at comps. other wise only for demos i will turn it up.

its only my opinion but why alpine at all here in oz they are like a dime a dozen cause there cheeeeeep in america yu guys have probably the biggest range of outstanding value for money subs and mobile audio in the world why not use it forget alpine it old boring and makes you feel like a sheep try something else find a brand thats new and untested ask to be there test mule go with fi hell even mojo or audiobahn cadence AD ground zero mmats there is litterlly thousand of amps subs etc buy some that no one else has that are good and be the first a trend setter insted of a follower audio is about personnel xpersion of youself thru you music and how your music is played if you are a alpne man then sorry but if you want to be a new leader try something compleatly different

i only say this as i hate alpne because there HU i have in my own car tops out leaving my speakers etc screaming for more sound but thats me sorry for the typing and grammer

if your speakers are screaming for me, then you need new amps, not a new HU.

the amps are new m8 the hu runs out of stem its gfot 4v preouts i need 5volt so ican make full use of the amps any more on gains (not a volume knob) and they will start popping but the stupid HU doesnt have enough tuning on it nor does it have hp/lp/bp/or flat settings for the channelsit got like 5 settings for the frequency on the sub and the front and thats it i think its not a pioneer which im my opinion is the better HU for my application i will however use the alpine in our sound quality caar which is a mini it has 1 amp for the 3ways and a sub amp both are duel mosfet digitals and produce farkin buetifull sound but for mr its pioneer
