Is a JL Audio 500/1 enough to run 2 Type R subs? I'm only looking to buy a JL amp or an Alpine amp. So, secondly if I were to only want to have 1 amp to run both, Alpine wise which amp would I need? Thank you!

No real reason other than I'd rather not get another brand involved. Alpine head unit, Alpine type R 6.5 speakers/tweeters up front being run by a JL2100 amp, with JL 6x9s in the back. Sounds stupid I know, lol.

i had a nine1 hooked up to 2 15 compvr until i fried it so i hooked up my old jl 500/1.no it cant push the subs to full potential but it does just fine. but i would get the saz1500d its only 600 compaired to the jl is 550 after tax at retail stores such as tweeter and the saz is a lot better.
