Quick and simple thread...

2 TangBand W8-740C vs. 1 12" 2004 Alpine Type-R

Both will be sealed and inverted...

On the back dash of a miata...

Have 1.18ft^3 to play with...

Power provided by a JBL Px300.4 (124x4 @ 4ohms and 358x2 @ 4ohms) so it'll be in 4ch mode with the 2 8"s and I'll bridge the rears if I run the Argggh...

BTW...the R is a D4 so I'd have to wire it to 2 or 8 ohms. JBL doesnt say wether or not its stable at 2ohms bridged so should I assume its not at run it 8ohms....if'n I go that route?

I'm leaning toward's the 2 8"s since they're SVC 4ohm and wiring would be easier than a viatnamese ***** and since It would be different and kinda cool...

Opinions, thoughts suggestions? Thanks in advance...

8's. If you run the r, bridge 2 channels to each coil off the amp.
If you mean run channels 1&2 bridged to coil 1 on the R and channels 3&4 bridged to coil 2; no. Then I would have nothing to run the components...

The tangs would be a cooler install if properly executed so I vote the tangs. Also I bet that amp is 2ohm stable...seems most of their amps are stable lower than they are spec'd you just get no wattage gain.

See thats the problem...being properly executed.

I took the measurments with the top up and I drive with the top down 80% of the time since the plastic window is fubar'd. I'm lookin to get a new top before I'm done with it but the subs would be in before hand. My only concern is that when the top is down and the subs are back there...the plastic and cloth would be on top of the box and potentially part of the subs...

I suppose I could deal with the top up for most the time until I can afford a new one...

Ah didn't know you were using the fronts for the fronts, still TB's! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sorry to get off topic but how would the TB perform in IB? I notice it has a low Qts. so I am kinda feeling no but I HATE my stock 8" and would like a new sub. I bought a CM380D4 to replace my stocker but it was way too deep.
