2 subs or 1

I have a JBL 1200.1....I used to have 2 Alpine Type R 12 inch subs but i blew them out with that amp....I might get 2 more alpine type rs....but i didnt really like the SQ...the most money i wanna spend on subs is around 225-250. I have a nice vented box for two 12s but i might wanna get one 12. Im 18 so im looking for nice spl but i dont wanna have to only listen to certain songs like i had to with the alpines....any ideas on a sub or subs

yea u can go with some punch subs

Turn down your gain! There is no way you should have blown up your subs with only 600W of clean power (in any decently sized enclosure). I ran over 700W to one for 8 months and it is still here today, collecting dust right beside me.

Now for a sub. 1 great woofer > 2 average woofers.

Do a search on Ascendant, Soundsplinter, eD, Adire, RE...
