2 questions!

Not looking to fight, but Some of them might be bad but I think saying all of them are bad is an over statement. The reviews on the model im looking at have been quite good actually. As for what I want, I'm not wayy into this like some of you might be. I want a system that'll be fun and loud to hear is all. I really appreciate your guys's feedback though.
I used to be like you, banking on reviews. After a while, you come to notice that it's not the good reviews you're looking fork, it's the bad ones. Also, don't ever look at a review that someone wrote who obviously doesn't know what he is talking about.

Coincidentally, I bought a volfenhag sub after reading a lot of good reviews about them. It's either the exact same as performance teknique, or on the same exact level. I regretted it sorely the moment I hooked it up. And it blew up on me. That experience was what made me smarter when it came to online reviews.

Thanks man, that's really good to hear! I'll try to invest in some other subs then. Price wise, I'm really only looking somewhere around $70-$100 max. Any good deals out there you guys would recommend on a sub running 500-600rms?

first dont worry about how much power a sub can handle and how big it is. i had a single 8 with 150w out of a trunk that burped 138db and played music well. that would be more than loud enough for you. the point is the box is the most important part. revrider 1 has some powerbass pbx 10's cheap they are dual 2 meaning you can wire it at 1ohm much cheaper power than 4ohm. then go to the box section and have someone design you a good box so you can build it or have a friend or relative help you build it.

lol, o rly?

what you dont think mid 130's is loud enough for a noob. its not loud enough for me i like 150's idk what you like but most people who show up to comps in my area for the first time thinking they are loud only hit low to mid 130's.

For what it's worth, most reviews are done by noobs who have probably never heard a legit system before and just don't know what else is out there.
This. I have to tell my friends this all the time when they want systems. They go to like etronics.com and find a Legacy package(4000watts for $150) and they instantly want it because it has great reviews. Most times better reviews than the quality equipment I try showing them. It's because the people making the reviews don't have experience with anything better so it's great for them, but money could be spent much better.

well it seems as though im never satisfied with my bass, but unfortunatly i do have parents that dont want an earth shattering system. 500-600 watts rms would be ideal im thinking. So if i shouldnt get the PT Sub, what are some good reccomendations? price is 70-100$...
