Orion 2500d cutting out

Ive got an orion 2500d wired at 1 ohm to 3 eclipse subs and i'm having a problem where the amp cuts out for 2 seconds them comes back when i turn up the volume. My voltage drops like crazy so im thinking its either my voltage drop or the amp clipping. I was going to buy a Deka 9a31 for the trunk today but i just wanted to get your guys input on whether you think the amp is clipping due to low ohms or do you think its because of my voltage drops. The voltage drops to about 11.5v before it cuts out. The amp does not get warm at all so does that mean it can't be clipping? I'm just hoping its not my amp thats bad. Let me know what you guys think before i go get the deka today.

Thanks

voltage drop probably... although i've ran my umpteen 1200d's and 2500d's below 11.5 and well below 1 ohm... fix your voltage issue or you are going to have an amp repair issue eventually.

Well i added the deka today and it fixed the problem. The voltage doesn't drop below 12v. Would it be better to ground my Orion 2500d directly to the deka battery instead of to the chassis? The wire would have to be about 4 feet long as the battery is on the other side of the trunk.

Thanks guys for the help i'm glad the problem wasn't with my amp.
