Have a PDX1.600 going to match it up with a single IDMAX 12, final load 4 OHM or 2 OHM?

Amp produces the same power at 2 & 4 ohm, I would think it will easier on the amp with a 4 ohm load, or does this logic not apply to the PDX or these types of amps.

I am about to purchase an IDMAX, should I get a dual 2 or 4 ohm. Question is, will it put less strain on the amp if I go with a dual 2 in series with a final load of 4 ohm?

I don't know, I have it stuck in my head, the lower the ohms to the amp, the more the amp works:confused:
