i know but there are two types of dvc speakers, 2ohm and 4ohm, which one is the memphis 12" dvc power reference

I dont know about memphis but many subs come in both dual 2 and dual 4 as well as single 2, 4 and 8

well answer this, if you put a unstable ohm on a amp would it fry the first time you hook it up or in the first couple of days

How low of load we talking? More than likely no. Will be different from amp to amp. If properly cooled you may have no problems at all.

its 2 ohm stereo stable at 100x2

im running 1 ohm mono.

why not wire it up and 4 ohm? if your amp is 2 ohm stereo then its prolly 4 ohm mono, I wouldnt run you amp at 1 ohm..... what is the amp make/model?

The heatsink is the large heavy metal, that houses the amplifiers board, it "absorbs" the heat. I would honestly look into another amp.
