2 ohm Assassin 10" alternative?

I'm looking for some small subs to fit in my brothers single cab truck. Right now I think 2 Assassin 10's would be great. They're also very affordable, not mention they would actually fit, at 5.75" mounting depth.

He'll be using a Directed 750d amp though, which puts out 400 at 2 ohms and 750 at 1. With 2 Assassins (4 ohm only) I wouldn't be using the amp to its fullest potential, and I'm already at the disadvantage of not being able to fit more than 10's.

So what are my other options? I'm not looking to spend more than $100 a piece, less if used. And less than 6" mounting depth is a must.

shipping's a lot, but still should end up being less than the assassin's.

with your power, they should get quite a bit louder than the assassin's.

As for 8's...i was thinking about maybe 3-4 Resonant Engineering RE's. Performance should be similar but I think cost would start getting prohibitive, 4 drivers vs 2.
