Sold 2 kove armageddon U2 15s

it just really doesnt make sense, granted id be interested in toying around with one, for the price, there has to be quite a difference in softparts.

get one reconed with ssx parts, then ill agree.

but whatever, good luck with your sale.

"for the price"?? umm..our shops dealer cost in 03 was 650 a woofer ...like was stated the dual 1 models maybe had a better coil than the d2 U2 and SSX??...but thats true with alot of woofers...just alot of people dont know...

this is the text in the emails from rich to me..............................well i dont know who told you that but i have never herd that before, i have coils out of both subs that i can send you and you can see that they are exactly the same thing. the koves and the ssx's have 4 inch coils, the koves were only made in a dual 2 ohm copperline coil. they are the cylinder wire and the ssx DUAL 1 OHM coil is a flat line aluminum coil, if the koves were availible in a dual 1 ohm it would be the same. these subs are no different, the only different is that the koves are the original models and the ssx's are the new and improved models. when we took the model over, we upgraded them and made them stronger and more durable, towards the end kove dident have the money to make them with good parts, they started haveing us make them with cheapr glues and just little things like that. but the coils always stayed the same and the spiders also. i have some pics of them and ill send them with this email, and you can compare the 2 and see that the only real difference is is that the tensil leads in the koves are copper and we changed them to a thicker aluminum more durable tensil leads, the tensil leads on those koves is the first thing that will go, then maybe the spider will come loose or the surround will detatch either from the cone or from the basket, but the spider and coil and cone are pratically indestructable. so if one day your just poundin the crap outta them and all the sudden 1 stops playing take it out and first thing, look at the tensil leads from the cone all the way to the terminal, and chances are the tensil lead burnt out somewhere, and if your good you can repair it. but that is really the only thing that we improved, that was the only flaw with them. ok in these photo's the 1 with the dual spider is a treo ssx that we made for our chevy extreme show truck that has 2 of the ssx's in it with 6000 watts rms on the 2. we made these with 2 of the spiders just in case if 1 of the tensil leads failed, but on the new spiders they are a aluminum sliver tensil leads and are bigger, i actually have a pic ill add but its from an 18 ssx dual 1 ohm. but you can see the difference in the leads and why we upgraded, and then the 1 with the full cone is the kove coil, sadly to say that it dosent have the dust cap on it because i took it off and put a different cap on it so people thought it was a different woofer. but you can see that there is literally no difference in the 2, they are exactly the same, the only difference is the spider on the ssx's are now aluminum and are a bigger guage wire and on the dual 1 ohm ssx's the coils are the flat line coil. but like i said if the kove came in a dual 1 ohm it would also have the flat line. but as of right now i dont work for kove any longer, i am too ill from my arthritis and am just unable to handle the work any longer. i just added pics of the ssx 18's with the old spiders and then 1 with a new spider, then an 18 ssx and a kove u-2 sitting on top of the 18, then a pic i a kove rebuilt with a black spider with a silver tensil lead, then another kove to show you that it has the same spider and tensil leads as the old ssx's and then you see that they ssx's used to be built the same way and all we did was upgrade the spider, the proof is all right there, if you have any other questions just ask and ill try and ansewer the best i can. trust me bro you have a set of 2000 dollar subs for only 575.00 you got a deal of a lifetime.

please get back to me and let me know if you think they are different or if they are the same, you can always believe what everyone says. the only ssx that has a flatline coil is the dual 1 ohm model, all of the other ones are the standard cylinder copper wire. the difference in the wires are the flat line is aluminum and can withstand more heat and are a lighter coil. thats the only difference, so i dont know what that person meant when he told you that but i have never herd that. when we rebuild the koves which never happens they are made the same as the ssx's, but we will not do anything with the koves they wont even admit to having anything to do with them. and honestly when we run out of motors for the ssx 15's and 18's we actually breakdown the koves and shave the bottom plate of the kove motor to remove the kove stuff off of it and throw a ssx sticker on it, i actually have a picture to prove it, its an 18 ssx wit ha kove motor, the ssx's either have a chrome top and bottom plate for the older ones and the new ones have a solid black top and bottom plates. heres the pics. so as you can see 1 of the 18's has a chrome top plate, and the other one has the exact same motor as the kove, but with a ssx label put on it. if that isent proof then i dont know what else i can show you.and if you look close enough you can see that the18 with the label on the bottom on it has been shaved perfectly where to gap is where the label is in the middle. well just let me know what you think im really interested in what you think about it. theres no denying this. the proof is right there.
