The IDMAX I had was a touchy *** sub. The spider ripped after like 2 weeks of use. Sent it to ID, they said it was a defective spider, then I sold it.

Easy choice for me. I would hit up the Max's. I know a kid with 2 of them off about 3000rms and sounds fantastic! Probably the cleanist system I have ever heard and I have heard a shit ton.

Also, your probably saying 3000 RMS?!?!?! Yep, just watch the gains and you will be amazed at how long a sub will survive.

With that said, I wasnt even given my FI Q its recommened power and blew it, ahaha! Lest thats what Fi said.

Still would hit up the Max's, cause I had a XXX 12 in my car for all of a month before I sold it locally. Was an older one though.

Id's don't like to handle alot of power. Unlike the XxX they will eat it lol. The verdict i would choose the XxX over the id's

When you guys say the Max is sensitive, do you mean the efficiency, or that it cries easily with too much power?

A speaker being sensitive (efficient) can have its advantages. Hoffmans Iron Law shows us this.

efficiency = less watt and more loudness, i'd go for the idmax just because it doesnt really require such a huge box and weigh down your car also.

We've sold over 30 new 06XXX to customers with all getting 2,000+ RMS. No fires so far.

Hell, I had my 06XXX running 4,500rms for 3+ months, again... no fire.

Why, because it can handle more power? That's pretty illogical.
