2 ga wiring kit

whats the point of buying more expensive 1/0 wire and limiting it's abilities by cutting it down to jam into a smaller receptacle?
Because at that length there is little difference electrically, if any.

It's a matter of opinion. Yours is no more "right" than shaving strands.

Technically - going straight to the amp with 1/0 and trimming 1/2" of it down to 2 ga will result in LESS resistance than running 2 ga a few feet from a d-block, which you probably already know.

17 should be enough your navigator is only 17 feet long (208 inches)and your batt isnt at the very tip of your car and i doubt your amp will be at the very back my car is 17 ft long got 17 foot long power worked fine got it ran from front batt to trunk and i have some left over

just worried with the routing and everything i may lose a foot or so but i guess that would compensate being the batt closer and third row about a foot from the back too. Would shaving the wire down be ok?

yes it will 17 should be long enough because i have mine ran down from the hood down the kinck panel thats like a foot right there then down the side under the seat to the trunk and still have left over so yea and i have a concorde and its `17 foot long
