2 channel wiring

if I am going to hook two subs up to two different channels on my amp (non-bridged), do I just wire each sub channel to my desired impedance(4ohms)?

I just want to make sure so I dint screw something up!!

are they 4 ohm single voice coil, or dual voice coil? if they are single coil, yes, just wire each sub up to each channel and ur good.

just clicked your link. itd be the second diagram, 4 ohm, and yes just wire to each channel and ur good. what amp and subs are you using? why arent you going to bridge? or do you not need that much power?

in that case no, you cant get a 4 ohm impedence by wiring them single. you had the diagram at 2 ohm dvc. 4 ohm dvd you can only get 2 or 8 ohm.

if you bridge the amp and wire them together however you can get 1 or 4 ohm.
