Well I installed the amp fine but im having trouble figuring out how to get the speaker wire through the door and to the front speakers. There is a big white jumper plugin thing at the hole where a rubber covering goes to the door. The only wires actually traveling to the door are the stock speaker wires which are smaller than 18guage which are the ones waiting to go it. For now should I just connect the amp wires to the stock wires before they go into the door? Would the stock wires be able to handle 65rms fine, this is in a 96' neon.

Well i went ahead and connected it to the stock wires by the deck because i wont have time to get to it for about a week, but OMG!!!!! It sounded so **** good compared to the head unit. Cant wait to listen to it again, like music to my ears, oh wait it is music to my ears. lol

You should be fine with the stock wiring. Music is so transient that the amperage is never constant unless you are playing tones...which is a //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif for speakers

Im running the 18guage from the trunk, where the amp is, to where the stock wires come to the headunit, i just clipped them from the headunit and crimped to the 18 guage ones, but im lovin it! Now to mess with the gain and stuff, right now gain is just over %50 and no bass boost on.

My stock wiring is like 24 gauge I swear... its tini !! Im just gonna remove the doors, drill a small hole and waterproof the 2 drilled holes. PLUS the wire will run thru the stock door plastic wiring thing... :|

Alright youve inspired me to do the same, today around 5:30 the doors are coming off. How do you guys actually connect the wire to the terminals? Solder?
