Can you hear me now?
Is it possible to drive a 4 ohm DVC subwoofer at 2 ohms with two identical amps? I have an Alpine MRP-M350. Driving each voice coil with a seperate amp is pointless given this model amp is 350 W RMS at 2 ohm and 200 W RMS at 4 ohm. It would only gain an additional 50 watts while driving each voice coil seperately. Looks like I should have got the 2 ohm DVC instead...or a bigger amp to start with!
How damaging is it to connect the output of two amps together? I suspect it might be bad, but I'm really clueless!
