So finally I got my comp amp and getting ready to install everything in my sig.

Recently I changed my decision and got a comp amp, thats why there is only 4ga running from bat to the trunk, set of rca's and rm wire.

Planning on running current 4ga pw to dist block and from there 2 x 4ga to the amps.

Questions:

1. Do I have to replace my 4ga with 1/0 run from bat to dist block . Is it absolutely necessary?

2. Should I get fused dist block or regular is fine for pw?

3. Ground wire. Should I also use dist block or running 2 wires is fine.

4. If I decide to run 2 separate gw should I run them to separate spots or the same is fine?

5. Remote wire. Do I run 2 wires or use a relay in this case?

if you have any suggestions or want to criticize something please do so.

thanks for your help

wat?? i dont need 1/0 ?? Im asking if it is fine to run 4/0 to dist block and then split it to 2 x 4/0?
i think you may be a little confused on the sizes. 4/0 is not 4 gauge if that is what you're thinking, that is what it seems like you are thinking.

i dont know, maybe. Than yeah 4awg. also I did not receive that comp amp and have no idea what it accepts.

I will edit my original post not confuse more people.

So yeah saying 4/0 i meant 4 awg. Learned something again today

Oh yes, that will work fine man. 4/0 is so much bigger than 4 gauge. Depending on how much current you are drawing (how powerful your amps are), you might want to upgrade 1/0.

hifonics is 1 x 1200rms @1 ohm but its overrated so maybe it does around 950

autotek is 2 x 125rms @ 4, not sure if its true as well

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

For clarity, why not example 2 ? Example 2 is 2 ohm...my speakers are 4 ohm and amp uses less RMS wattage with the bridged 4 ohm full range...
