Welp, long story short....i thought i was getting rid of the Explorer, but i didnt and i already sold my ext. reg alt to Mazzasec...so i needed another one.
Man was i getting tired of this "**" alt , it worked great for like a month or than just downhill.
Another long story short, my batt light flickered on abuot 3-4 times last month and i was lucky if i never played it at all, to get 13.4ish at idle nothing playing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
That had to be changed, so i called Mechman up to ordered on of the smaller pulleys and try that, welp...ended up off the phone with a new alt being shipped too me.
Just slapped it on last Sat with no probs, used about 5/8 shorter belt, no slips, noises or what have you.
With my batts not charged for a while, only resting at 12.6 i get 14.4 always at idle when warmed...man i love it, i havent seen 14v in a longgggg time haha. Its like split second to once the bass stops that it goes right back up to 14v....where the other "300amp" alt would trickle back to 13.1ish if lucky and kept at 2000rpm
I still need to do the ground on alt case and i wanna redo my alt wire to batt, but ill get that Sat and clean it up a tad.
