I would imagine it depended on the kind of amps(amount of channels, etc) subs do have 2 voice coils I would "guess" that one amp per voice coil, then you might have to put another connector on the box. good question

ive seen 4 amps on a team rf sub before they had 4 modded rf1500bd's pushing like 3000W each.

You have to match them exactly with a dmm I think... ? I don't think it's very practicle unless you are just burping them real fast or something.

yes its very possible. hook one amp to each voice coil, or if it's a qvc, one amp to two vc's.

yes buy 2 strappable amps! Then strap them as noted in the instruction manual. If they are the identical amps but arent strappable and have a subwoofer that is dual voice coil, then yeah you can do that too, but some equipment is going to be needed to make sure the gains are set identical. No 2 identical amps are the same, some put put more wattage than others.

i wouldn't do it, even if they are the same model pritty much no two amps will have the exact same output, then your sub will be getting more power to one voice coil compared to the other.
