2 alpine type x's

I just want to get an honest opinion from you guys but please dont flame. There is a local ad for these subs in a prefab box (//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif) for 400$ and i was wondering what you guys thought of this deal. I know that there are much better subs out there but i just wanted to know if this kind of deal was worth it if i could mabey get them for 300$. I havent checked them out yet to see what kind of condition they are in though. Thanks for the time guys.

In my experiance the Type Rs are better woofers. And you can get 2 new for $250

Type-X subs sound very nice. If they are in good shape and you can get them for 300 with the box, I would pop on that. Then I would sell the prefab and build a box.

alot better then the type r depending on the model///the 1242d had some kind of noise issues i remember from mine...but the 1243d are quite better....they are bot good dont get me wrong

So you cant spell something right above you? Thanks Archer chimp!... I still stand by my statement, I dont care for the Xs but you can make some nice stuff from the motors.

For 300-325 i'd do it. 400 is still reasonable for them but if he needs the money he'll take what he can get.

I say go for it! the X's are nice sounding subs esp at 300. then sell the prefab to some idiot on CL as a custom box and build a new one lol
