2.5mm Aux input? WTF!

my DEH-P68000MP has an aux input on the front... but it is only 2.5mm instead of the standard 3.5

does anyone know what cord i need to run the 2.5mm output to my 3.5 input on my MP3 player???

Why the F did pioneer do this???

the shack will hook you up. They sell a straight adapter too.

I've seen a FEW portable players use the smaller headphone jack, mostly smaller solid state ones.

my local radio shack did not have it. They had mono ones but not stereo.

Rogers is canadian based cell phone company.

But if you have a cell phone go to where you got it and ask for one they should give it to you for free.

I have the same issue with my P880. Just found an adapter on Radio Shack (couldn't seem to find an actual plug that fit both).

Standard is 3.5 but Pioneer feels compelled to make everyone's life much more difficult so their HU connection is a 2.5. Almost all MP3 players and headphone jacks are 3.5

the funny part about asking some radio shack stores...least the one my friend worked at, is he threw together a bunch of scrap and called it a flux capacitor just for smartazzes that kept comin in askin for one....LOL almost looked like something out of "back to the future" too...
