2 15s or 3 12s

Im planning on using tantric shds either way I go. Each sub will be on its own powerbass xta5000d. I know 2 15s have more cone area, but the 3 12s will take more power. Which would be louder in a blow through camper shell set up on a 2002 Sonoma?

3 12s is 15k rms man idk how beefy your electricals are but thats a lot of draw. I personally, would do the 2 15s

So far I just have dual alts, 5 deka group 31s and all sky high 1/0 wire. I might end up doing 3 12" Dual 2ohm HDD's on 2 powerbass 5ks strapped at a little under 2 ohms.

So how about the 3 12" HDDs on around 10000rms or 2 15" SHDs on around 10000rms??

yup plus 1in on 15's... more power with the 12's... still love the 3 12's... my vote is 3 x 12's

Cone area is too close to make any difference. The 12's do have more power handling capacity, but watt for watt the systems will be close probably the first several thousand watts. If your only doing 10k, I'd save myself the price of the extra sub and do the 2 15's. Output should be impressive either way I'd imagine.

x2. The 15s have just a -bit- more cone area; nothing that'll make a difference, but they'll definitely be able to keep up with the 12s. This way, you'll be able to provide more power/driver while keeping your draw significantly lower. You'd also be saving by not having to buy a 3rd driver, so I think the dual 15 setup would be all-around the better way to go.

can fit 3 15s, Im doing a blow through where the subs and port face into my cab. I think I have decided to run 4 tantric hdd 10s. Its way cheaper and still 10k rms worth of sub

I vote for whichever combination has the smallest combined Vas. Over-sized blowthroughs work out better than stuffed

I know lol.... I cant make up my mind. I already have the amps and camper shell. I just need to decide how im going to do the box set up and get the subs. I am currently running 4 DD2510s. So I figured I could build the box for 4 10s and run the DDs in it till I got the tantrics. Plus the 4 tantric hdds would take the 10k perfectly
