2 15''s in a cobalt

4 8s is down on the totem pole. 4 10s would be considerably louder and 3 10s/ 2 12s would be louder as well, all things equal

and if you're talking about 6 8s, 4 10s would still be better. Bump them up to 1.5cf each since you're still wanting your lows, or either bump up to 3 12s.

Your 8s, while they are beefy 8s, just can't compete when it comes to bigger beefier subs and the low end
well Im the kind of person that likes to be different haha I could possibly do 3 12s? get some used of here

When those SA-8's are set up properly, they get pretty nasty for 8" subs... I think you would notice a big difference just merely upgrading your amp... A single 1500 on 4 SA-8's seems a bit on the weaksauce side to me, Especially if those are the SA-8 v.2's If you do end up going with bigger subs I'd definitely get a bigger amp...
well I was gonna do 6 of these 8s on a crescendo 3500d but im thinking doing 3 12's now and I would for sure get a bigger amp also my price range for everything is about 2k I can build my own box and everything I want to prevent getting an alt because that's 400 right there plus more 0ga for it I can do some batteries though, I also will buy used equipment so I know I changed my mind like 4 times so far but as of now 3 12s sound good haha

3 SA-12's on a 3500 would get down... Anything beyond that and you gonna need more powa //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif In my own personal experience: I've ran SA-12's, and bigger 3" & 4" coil subs in a trunk... You really don't gain a ton going with big extravagant more expensive 12" subs unless you seal off your trunk and have a ton of power to play with... Just food for thought //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

What Are Your Thoughts On 4 Sa 12's On A Crescendo 3500D? That's The Route That I Will Probably Go Those Are Only 200 Each!

I asked cuz the trunk is only 16in tall with the sub being 15in I would've liked to see the box, im not trying to argue... just if i could get more idea of it i may try going 15's but i couldnt get a l7 15 in there for nothing in the smallest prefab sealed on the market! lol other than facing up!!! i could live with side firing!!! and port forward... nice!!! danger do you know him? or something you came across? i still got that l7 in garage...
I know him fairly well

i'd say you'd be much happier with 2 powerful 12s. My single 12 does more damage then that so i'm pretty sure 2 2k rms 12s on 5k would please you greatly.
would 3 or 4 sa 12's be better than 2 beefy 12s plus if i get a 5k im most likely gonna need an alt and i dont want that ill deal with batterys though, because i can get 3 sa 12s cheaper than 2 beefy 12s and for another 200 get a 4th one remember im also on a budget so if someone has 3-4 sa 12s they want to get rid of pm me

Triple 12s should be considerably louder then your 4 8s and it should fit a lot better then 2 15s crammed in. I think you can do 15s in a small airspace box but you'd need considerably more power and it would require you to take out your spare tire.

U cant run 5k and dodge extra batts

Thats still way too much for stock electrical.. even with a second battery much over 2k is pretty hard on most stock slots even beefier ones.

i dont want to run 5k really becuase i dont have the money, what sounds better 2 hdc3 on a crescendo 3500d or 3 sa12's on the 3500d? i narrowed it down to those choices.
U cant run 3500 with no extra batts either lol ..if u wana go 3 12s do 3 hds312s..they r 150 shipped and are 3"vc 1200rms..u gona be buying the bc3500 new? And if so just buy a sq3500.1 it does 4300@1 ohm for 799 ..better than the bc3500 ..ive ran both
