2 15's civic install. lots of pics!

and i will go as far to say dont listen to this guy. somewhat he said is true. and sealed box more cone area may sound better to an certain point so dont go leading this guy down the wrong path. he may just go try to get 2 18" MTS one day putting them in 8 cubes sealed in his honda thinking he would be louder than using 2 10" BTLS ported. listen the facts remain and from experience and common sense. loook at it like this those 15s in his trunk is similar to you haveing an wall almost sealed off in an suv, BUT REAR FIRING! that wont be loud on the inside no would it?
Not at all sealed off as u think

Rear firing is prolly the best sounding setup in most applications

yea it is but if the box height is blocking half the bass then whats the point? but it should sound decent and did i mention for 17 year old THATS AMAZING very clean
haha indeed...when i was 17 i had exact model Civic and starting fires from power wire and ground wire just chilling in back still hooked up while amp was getting repaired

did that exact thing with my orion 1200d, had my subs out, still had the power and ground in the amp.. pos and neg wires from the terminals touched, blew the amp and melted the wires together.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i do have to be honest, the 15's do seem to be a little lacking... had a 12" type r as a transitional sub from my 2 RE Se's with my orion 1200d, and it seems that the bass is almost the same as a single 12"... i couldnt exactly figure it out, but it does make sense that the waves are blocked by a big *** enclosure.. but its alright for now.

How do you like your polk DBs? I am thinking about getting the component set. And do you power all 4 of your speakers or just the fronts?
oh the polks are awesome, really clear and great highs, not to much midbass, but i dont have deadner, so i cant really judge that.. all speakers are powered.. i blew the tweets and it seems to be a pretty common thing among the db series, at least the 650's, but you can only tell at low volume..
