2 12s or 1 15

Im just wondering..would 2 300 watt 12s sound better than say a 700 watt 15 inch?...there should be more air moving with 2 12s right?...but the 15 would be able to get louder?...

i'd pick one badass 15" over 2 mediocre 12s, though.
