2 10s 1600 watts

Hey guys,

Would it be ok to run 1600 watts at 1 ohm to two kicker cvr 10 4 ohm speakers? I think they are rated at like 400 watts rms and 800 watts peak per woofer.

is the 1600w rms? if so thats double the recommended power, so i think that would be too much

yea its a hifonics 1608d

i doubt that amp is giving you a full 1600w rms, but still, thats too much power for those subs

yea i could give them 1100 watts at 2 ohms but I dont think theres a way to wire these subs at 2 ohms?

nope. the only thing i see is run it at 1ohm and put the amp at half power

run 3 at 3 ohm or if you have a good electrical you might get away with .7 after imp box rise.

Might as well try it. Just be conservative with the "gain" knob and don't use any bass boost. Just be smart about it and listen for any changes in how the sub is performing. If you hear or smell something strange, back the gains down some more.
