2/0 1/0 wire question

I ordered 1/0 wire (10ft) and 1(ft) of 2/0 from weldingsupply.com. I was going to use the 2/0 to upgrade my battery to chasis ground, but the idiots sent me all 2/0 instead.

is it ok for me to cut away strands from the wire to fit my fuse holders, terminals and distro blocks?

i really dont want to goto the process of returning the wires and/or buying new terminals since i already purchased 1/0 terminals.

weldingsupply shipped my item quickly.... would have been a great experience only if they sent me my right order.

oh yea.. i got nice glvoes too!

yeah u can cut a lil but not much. if u get some vice grips and clam on to the wire and turn it good and tight, that should help also.

with power wire redcers stinger makes them.

yea, i dont think they sell 2\0 to fit tho. but that wire will be able to do whatever you wanna try and pull with it amperage wise. what, itl pull like 400+ amps?

Yes.

2/0 is quite thick. That's what I have sitting in my garage, waiting for the day I actually need it.

Update.

I sent an E-mail to weldingsupply about the mix up, but they didnt respond.

However... ups did show up today with a package from them.

sent me my 1/0. no extra charge!
