Hello,

I just went to a local shop, and they were charging $6.50 / ft of wiring. I asked him why did it cost so much since 25ft. 0 gauge was going for around $70 shipped on ebay. his response?

"You see the JL sticker? This is made by JL, so it'll cost you more."

right then i was like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif eff this...

alright..onto my problem...

Well, with my BMW 325i...the battery is located in the trunk so I don't know how to do this all by myself. I'm pretty much a newb to wiring //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif . Should I just take it to a shop and have them do the Big 3 for me?

oh, here are pics

what should I do?

Doing the Big 3 on cars like BMW's and Volvo's where they have the batteries in the trunk sucks. You have to run a really long charge wire back to the battery. It works great for hooking up your amps though.

yup

the problem is, i'm not car savvy and don't know much about running the wire through. I know they ran the wire through the passenger side, but I just can't figure out how to take apart everything like the past car audio place did.

and I was planning on going to a respectable car audio shop, and asking them to do it for me. not just blatently say "Big 3"

but like state each step of the Big 3 process. I only mainly need help on the battery to the alternator...thats about it. THanks for the help though fellas. much appreciated.

imho I thought most of the bmw's had power wire that was sufficient enough. But If your adding in the second wire for batt that will really help. Just run the 1/0ga from the alt to the rear. Look for a gasket on the firewall you can run the wire through. Bring it back on the passenger side. Pop off the interior panels on teh floor and see if you have room to tuck it. If you can't do it. Do the other 2 yourself and let a shop do this one. Just tell them you want a fused 1/0ga run from the alt to the battery. If you bring it to the shop, give them the wire and the fuse holder.

Do the batt ground yourself with the 1/0ga in the trunk

Engine block to chassis ground should be simple as well.

knukonceptz.com but dont use the kollusus or w/e. It's too **** big to fit in their own fuse holders and 1/0ga rings. Use the next step down. Kollusus is like 2/0....
