Best way to run 2 batteries?

I've googled it and searched on here but after going though several threads and not finding the exact info I need I'm just going to ask.

My freelander has I believe a 120amp alternator. I will be running a MMATS D300HC and a Clarion 3200A 4 channel amp. I plan on doing the big 3 before anything is installed but think that I will still need another battery. I will also be running two 155 watt spot lights up front so that will be even more of a demand on my electrical.

What is the best way to go about adding another battery to my system. I've been looking at the Kinetik 2400 as the additional battery. Will my alternator charge both batteries fine? Should I look into having my alternator rewound for higher output with adding another battery?

depends on how you listen to the set up and how well the alt works in charging.

The D300HC is a very nice amp...I have the factory modified one in my Saleen Mustang right now on a single DD 9510 dual 4 ...I ran two Batcap 2000's in it...one under the hood the 2nd in the trunk...Then I pulled two good quality 4 ga wires...from the front battery back connected the pos together and the negs together on each battery...The alt is stock....This setup works great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif No light dimming that I've seen at all and I like my bass loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What size alt does your mustang have? You said you have the positive and negatives of the batteries connected together? Do you have an isolator? Can the 2nd battery just be grounded somewhere in the cargo area instead of running more wire to the front of the vehicle?
