1991 Toyota Camry

Anyone ever change out the passenger side CV joints on this car? It's an automatic and I'm just wondering if anyone could give me a heads up on any peculiaritues before I start.

well i have an 89, same thing, have you done cvs before?

make sure you have two things to pry out with because you need to do top and bottom for the to pull out because of the clip.

make sure the clip is on the joint after.

the cv joint out of the transmission casing.

they won't just slide out.

you need to pry the hub up so you can get the cv to pop out also need to pry top and bottom out of the ***** threres clips in the cv that hold it in

It's got half shafts. I've done Honda's and Nissan's before (which have full shafts). This Toyota has two pc. CV joints. So I only need to repait the outboard part.

Yeah I have a Chiltons but they **** so hard. Says something about having to use a gear puller to push the shaft end out of the hub.

Thanks! I have hammer and punch and gear puller so I think I'm set. The only pain in the *** I ever have with these jobs is getting the ball joints disconnected.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

they make a tool that looks like a fork to do that many auto part stores well let you use one or rent one
