Starting question

okay my gf has this like 90 corolla and the thing is a piece of crap and she has been having this problem with her car like when she trys to start it, it wont start it will click over you hear it clicking then after a few times it starts. This has been a problem for like 4 months and sometimes she will have to sit there for 15mins just turning it over for it to start now would that be the starter if so how much and how hard would it be to get installed cause i dont like her sitting in some dark place trying to get her car started

Go to autozone and get the batt checked and if that shows good then just take the starter off and go have it tested. Its Usually not that hard.

how easy is it to take the starter off i am very car illiterate and dont know much im gonna go get the battery tested because i think when she plays the radio for a while it has a harder time starting so im guessing its that but if it isnt i guess its the starter

Its useually 3 bolts, and 2-3wires. Un-do the battery, un-do the wires on the starter, pull the bolts, slide it out, slide the new in, and repeat steps in reverse order.

hmmm okay that doesnt sound too hard but this may seem stupid where is the starter located by i really appreciate this help guys if you got a comp problem hit me up!!

He said that she only gets clicking some times. Sounds more like a starter prob than anything. Starter will prolly be on the side of the engine closest to the front of the car, towards the rear of the engine just before the bell housing connects to the engine. Should look like so:

Sounds like the soldenoids fucked and it's not pushing the gear and it isn't engaging
